Learn how to complete Module Registration

New students

You will need to complete Module Registration after finishing online enrolment if you are a new undergraduate or postgraduate taught student (students on postgraduate research, CPD, UPIC or Academic Partnership courses will not need to complete this step).
After completing online enrolment you will be prompted to start module registration.
You must complete module registration, even if you only have mandatory/core modules on your course. 
Completing this step gives you access to the Digital Learning Environment and your timetable.

Returning students

Module Registration for returning students happens in-year. 
You will be prompted by your faculty when it is time to complete the process.
Depending on the requirements of your subject, you may be asked to choose optional modules at the start of your course.
The number of compulsory and optional modules varies from course to course. Some of you will find that you have a full compulsory course due to the requirements of your particular subject area. Even if your course has no optional modules you will still need to complete Module Registration.
Important note: Module Registration can only be accessed when you have completed online enrolment.


Making your choice

We strongly advise that you wait until you have been given module information by the academic staff on your course before making your final choice.
Important note: some students will be advised to make their choices before arrival.


How long will you have?

Module Registration for new students opens on 17 August 2026.


What if you change your mind?

If you change your mind, you will be able to request a module change through your faculty office but you will not be able to request any changes online.


Oversubscribed modules

Your faculty will look at oversubscribed modules and reallocate module choices.
