About Storm
I am an early-career Teaching Fellow at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», lecturing on digital skills (e.g., GIS, data science), borehole geophysics, and seismic interpretation.Â
My PhD research, undertaken at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», focused on assessing past storm and tsunami events using coastal boulder deposits in Sanriku, Japan, and Shetland, Scotland. This work was undertaken as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Geoscience and the Low Carbon Energy Transition.
I completed a six-month JSPS postdoctoral fellowship at Tohoku University, where I analysed tsunami deposits using numerical simulations. Additionally, I am a member of the MAKEWAVES international collaboration, which conducts physical tsunami experiments. My other research interests include landslides and remote sensing approaches, particularly the use of drone-generated 3D models.
