At the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ we are in a unique position to offer a variety of training courses for those individuals working within the scientific and media industry.
The Professional Diving Team have a wealth of knowledge and experience. The University has run HSE SCUBA Diving Courses for 30 years. 

Full Face Mask Training 

  • 2-day course but can be tailored to suit client needs.
  • Introduction for scientific divers looking to move from diving on half mask to full face mask, or those scientific divers who need a re-familiarisation.  

SDSC Supervisors Course

  • A recognised qualification for those working within UK scientific diving.  
  • 3-day course but can be tailored to suit client needs
  • Theory topics covered but not limited to:
    • Diving at Work Regulations & Approved Codes of Practice
    • Safety in Hazardous conditions
    • Chartwork
    • USN Decompression Tables
    • Chamber Operations
  • Practical topics covered but not limited to:
    • Equipment 
    • Chartwork
    • VHF Radio
    • Emergency procedures and scenarios

HSE SCUBA Course

  • We can occasionally offer spare places on our HSE SCUBA courses if spare capacity exists.
