Student nurses from China have taken part in an international summer school at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» to experience its leading rural healthcare expertise.
The six students and two lecturers from Guangzhou Southern University in China came to understand more about nursing and healthcare in south-west England, while also sharing their own knowledge and experiences with healthcare professionals, academics and local community leaders.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is home to the widest range of healthcare programmes in the South West, and the summer school programme included visits to its leading facilities such as
InterCity Place , the new run by Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise, and the
Brain Research & Imaging Centre (BRIC) .
In addition, the visiting students enjoyed lectures and discussions on nursing, the NHS, healthcare innovation and technology, and visited Derriford Hospital and the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Science Park.
